As a team Robert and Lynn Young have been photographing weddings since 1985. Using the latest technology and professional equipment, Robert and Lynn capture those precious memories and preserve your wedding day forever. You will be able to relax, knowing that every special moment throughout your wedding is being photographed professionally. To ensure that your wedding coverage is complete and the process is as smooth as possible, a number of special services are provided. These include attending the wedding rehearsal to meet the wedding party and clergy, preparing an advanced list of important groups and individuals to be photographed and booking private gardens or suggesting public spaces for outdoor bridal party photographs. A full family sized portrait studio is available should the weather be uncooperative.

Special arrangements can be made to provide some or all of your wedding photographs in Black & White, Sepia or Selenium Tone, or even Spot Color.

We often shoot as many as 1000 photographs during a traditional wedding and more if you wish us to provide photography services for engagement, rehearsal, and gift opening parties. After the wedding, your proofs are provided on CD for you to view as a slide show. The images on this CD are at an appropriate resolution for you to e-mail to friends and family, and to begin choosing the images for your albums or enlargements.

Robert and Lynn wear tuxedos to blend in with the bridal party and to avoid distraction during the ceremony. With many years experience, they will help you and your guests feel dignified and comfortable during photographic sessions. Careful planning and preparation are keys to finishing all your desired photographs in the least amount of time.

This is your wedding day and we want to capture all those memorable moments. We are working for you to make this day special. Please feel free to make any special requests for services not mentioned. Studio samples of our work are available for your viewing. Whenever possible, Robert will attend the church rehearsal; this always helps make the wedding day photography go more smoothly.

Our studio has a full in-house printing facility, which means that you get your CDs or DVDs, proofs and enlargements in as short a period of time as possible.

Celebrity Photo Studio Inc. can provide you with a range of information about custom framing, mounting, and retouching services, as well as make recommendations on other wedding services throughout the area. Robert teaches photography for Memorial University of Newfoundland's Life-Long-Learning program and loves to help family and friends at the wedding also get the best photographs. Many couples have commented that Robert's friendly approach to the family "snap-shooters" makes everyone more supportive during the photo sessions.

Robert and Lynn are active members in the Professional Photographers of Canada, the BBB, the St. John's Board of Trade and Robert is a member in the St. John's Rotary Club.

To book Robert Young for your wedding, a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is required and will be applied towards the total cost of photography. The remainder is due on or before the day of the wedding.

Robert will also include at no additional charge, a digital studio portrait of the couple for engagement announcements in the newspaper.

This package includes the services of two photographers and pictures taken at the bride's home, the men waiting at the church and the brides arrival at the church, during the ceremony and formal church photographs after the ceremony. The full bridal party and the various family groups would then be photographed at any suitable outdoor location, the reception hall or in Robert's studio. For the formal Bridal Couple photographs, Robert likes to use several locations significant to the couple and to pose using traditional and "candid" styles. Ideally at least 2 hours for the After Church Photography Session, not including travel time to the various locations should be allocated. Normally the Bride and Groom are then taken to the reception hall and posed as if they were cutting the cake and having their first dance. Detail images of the decorations, favors and reception hall are also taken and Robert usually finishes off the formal wedding photography with photos of the M.C. introducing the Bride and Groom along with all those at the head table.

Included a DVD of high resolution, color corrected and enhanced photographs and a copyright disclaimer letter which gives the Wedding Couple unrestricted, world-wide permission to reprint or reproduce any photographs as desired.

This usually takes 10 to 14 days to assemble and includes basic color management.
The Wedding Couple then chooses their favorite images to be custom printed.

$200.00 + tax per hour

Sometimes couples want Robert and Lynn to stay through the reception and photograph events during the dinner, speeches, and first few dances. In this case, they should arrange to provide meals and places to sit near the Master of Ceremonies podium. There is no additional charge for photographs during this time, just the hourly rate.

Robert and Lynn often photograph weddings outside the greater St. John's area. Local car travel around Newfoundland is charged at $0.50 per km. and is billed after the wedding. Travel meals are billed at cost.
Destination weddings including the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico, the United States and mainland Canada requiring airfare, accommodations, car rental and special equipment rental costs must be paid 60 days in advance of the wedding. There is also a $1000.00 per-diem travel charge on all non-wedding days away from the studio. Destination weddings have many benefits of more relaxed time with the wedding couple and usually result in hundreds of additional photo opportunities.
